Present at the September 8^th meeting presided by recuperating president Walter: Ben Summers, Judy Rego, Donn & Carole Sladen, Roger Jacobs, Jack Borror, Alden Mitchell, Beatrice (CQ) Hurwitch and Dietrich Bilger.

Lengthy discussion of club by-laws. Members were given a copy of same, to read, make proposed amendments or clarifications to meaning, etc., for further discussion and vote at the September 22^nd meeting.

Your interim editor proposed a monthly column in the Scituate and Marshfield Mariners, which had been tentatively OK’ed by the Community News editor-in-chief Mark Skala. He requested a sample column, which Ben is now writing. Deadline for the October meeting calendar is September 15^th. It will be published in the September 23^rd or 30^th issue of the Mariners.  Required are a brief message from President Walter, programs for October Club meetings and other news about members, etc.
