Scituate Light Newsletter April 23, 2003 Thank you, S.A.A. Bart for composing the Scituate Light newsletter a couple of weeks ago. Also thanks to Walter, Susan, Janet and Carole Sladen for their usual good efforts. Just wondering: If we hold our next joint meeting with Scituate, Rhode Island Rotary in Scituate, Rhode Island in the fall, will we have to travel, again, to Mansfield to host the Spring 2004 meeting? And why? The previous answer didn't make sense. Last week's attendance was O.K. When are we going to get the next 100%? Janet, Ben, Sue, Walter, Judy, Donn & Carole, Joe, Roger, Matt, Paul Welch, 2003-4, Assistant Governor Angela Pomte of Quincy Rotary, his successor, Alden, Loic Meston (a prospective member?) Karen Kelly (at least her third attendance) and Beatrice Hurwitch, (another prospect?) Happy/Sad Bucks from: Janet, Sue, Joe (babysat for six days), Carole (daughter passed papers on her new home and signed a contract to become a teacher), Paul, Matt, Loic (being able to sub for his friend Susan Kavanagh), Bart, Judy and Alden (his first cousin Margaret Bonney, author of book on the history of Scituate, passed away. She was 96). Beatrice picked Walter's number in the raffle . . . and he won half the Queen of Hearts jackpot of $52. Welcome Matt, our newest/youngest member. Editor, Ben Summers |
