John Ryan will be installed as District Governor on June 26, 6:30 p.m. at the Lantana in Randolph. Cost is $30 per person.
Attendance last week: President Janet, treasurer Sue Katz, secretary Ben, vice president Bart, S.A.A. Dietrich, past presidents Alden, Donn, Walter, Paula, Roger and Judy, Matt, Karen & Joe Kelly.
Happy/Sad Bucks: Dietrich (his son's baseball team won), Judy (happy to be back from Key West), Paula (happy to return, went salmon fishing on Lake Ontario), Alden (glad to see Paula back), Karen (happy to attend), Janet (successful day on the phone, got 8 businesses to advertise in the Phone Book, happy to see Paula), Walter (sailed his friend's 32 foot sailboat around Boston Harbor), Bart (attended Quincy Rotary silent auction and Cohasset Rotary meeting), Ben (his softball team won its first game and happy to see Jed a week ago).
Fines: Janet (mentioned in Rotary pamphlet), Paula (didn't have directory to check on meetings while on vacation), Bart (gave Cohasset Rotary one of our pennants); Dietrich (didn't wear his Rotary pin).
Dietrich won the raffle but did not pick the Queen. Next meeting winner will draw only one card to help increase the size of the pot for the next winner. It was also voted that the person who wins more than $150 must buy a round of drinks for those in attendance.
Janet had a meeting with the principal of Wompatuck School to discuss the Walk to School project which we are sponsoring as our Centennial Year program.

Matt entered Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital for surgery.
Walter is checking on boxes to place in stores to collect money for Polio Eradication.

Incoming R.I. president Jonathan Majiyagbe of Kano, Nigeria will hold Presidential Celebrations this coming year. The one day events will feature one subject to be stressed. Here are some of the dates and locations: July 19, Vancouver, B.C., Canada, Vocational Service: July 26, El Paso, TX, World Community Service; August 2, Johannesburg, South Africa, Health Concerns; August 9, Abuja, Nigeria, Population Concerns; August 13, Stockholm, Sweden, Peace & Tolerance: October 13, Seoul, Korea, Rotary Foundation Support; October 25, Antibes Frances, Intercountry Committees; November 1, Bradford, England, Rotary Peace Centers; December 9, Delhi, India, Water Management. Try to fit one of these into your travel schedule. If you can, let me know as I have information about which people to contact.

May 14th: Dinner meeting at Pier 44, 6:30 p.m. Guest speaker: Scott Harrington will report on the Amputee Hockey Team's tournament in Helsinki, Finland. He was a member of the U.S. Team which competed against teams from Canada, Finland and Russia.
May 21st: Guest Speaker: State Rep. Frank Hynes, an honorary member, of the Scituate Rotary, will offer his State of the State report, Pier 44, 6:30 p.m.
May 28th: Dinner Meeting at Pier 44, 6:30 p.m. Guest speaker Gunther Hausen will discuss another Rotary District 7950 project, the Children's Hospital in Angkor, Cambodia.
June 2nd: Executive Board meeting at President Janet's, 7:30 a.m.
June 4th: Club Night, Pier 44, 6:30 p.m.
June 11th: Harbormaster Frank Regan will discuss From the Marines to Retirement to Harbormaster at Pier 44, 6:30 p.m.
June 18th: Renee Jackson will discuss the Prison Fellowship of New England at Pier 44, 6:30 p.m.
June 25th: Installation of Club Officers and Directors for the year 2003-2004, Pier 44, 6:30 p.m. It's Spouse Night.

July 9th: Georgia Talcott, a Junior at Scituate High School, will report on her week at the University of Wisconsin's Rotary sponsored seminar on World Affairs.
