Meeting Highlights: October 9, 2002 Around The Chapter Former Rotarian (Weymouth Chapter) Dean Tegler, now the minister at the Christ Lutheran Church in Scituate, spoke about what the Rotary Four-Way Test means to him ... and what it should mean for every Rotarian. Unfortunately for those who attended last week's dinner, it was a talk that should have been heard by those who were not present. I realize that not all members can attend all meetings. Happy & Sad Bucks last week from your editor, Pat, Alden, Audrey, Bill Coulton (his wife is making great progress with her "pump" insulin treatments; and we won't see him again until Christmastime), Sue Katz, and Walter (his new used car broke down). We received a Thank You letter from new Police Chief Brian Stewart for the dinner he and former chief Neilen attended last month, along with more than 35 police and firemen and their wives. He also thanked us for the club's continuing support of the DARE program. S.A.A. Dietrich almost collected a double sawbuck in fines; some of them were arguable, but everyone donated despite their complaints. Incidentally, Bill Coulter and Dietrich will be in Florida, Nokomis, at the same time for a few days next month. They are both members of the Nokomis/Venice Rotary Club. From Mike Haeger to our Website: "I visited and noticed your club does a lot of positive projects for the community. We will pay your club for used cell phones. Have your members (friends, etc.) bring them to your meetings, drop them in a box, ship the box to us (we pay the costs) and we will send you the money. If your organization has any phones you would like to sell, please email me at phone@pacebutler.com. Check our website for more info: http://www.pacebutler.com." Ben Summers, Editor, 781-878-4540 (Only on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, then I'm off to Australia for 3 weeks.)
