Meeting Highlights:

February 26, 2003

Attendance at the Senior Dinner: Thanks to all our help tonight. Jack brought 4 family members, Donn brought Carol, Paula brought her sister and nephew, and we had a reasonable number of Rotarians (12). Bill Coulter tickled the ivories for us all on a new piano. Thanks so much Bill. And Chef Paul’s meal was its usual great quality. Twenty-five scratch tickets were given out with 2 known winners ($10 and $50). It was a fun evening indeed.

Falmouth Rotary is selling golf balls with the Polio Plus logo on them as a fund-raiser. They’ll sell us a dozen for $12 and we can re-sell them for $15 to $20 per dozen.

FYI: The District News comes to your president via email for copying each month. I am responsible for copying and seeing that each member gets a copy. I have learned that if I wait 3 more weeks I get a “hard copy” or a properly printed copy that copies much better than the email version. So, I wait for that now. The “special issue” or quarterly letter came with copies for everyone, which I distributed at meetings. If you did not receive something and want it, please ask me. I received this month’s hard copy today, copied it and handed it out this evening. Carole will mail out those I did not hand. (Carole, thanks so much to you and Donn for doing this each week!)

The file cabinet from Paula’s is a treasure trove! Bart will be sharing his finds over the coming weeks (and year!). It may be time for old projects to be resurrected.

I am away until Wednesday morning. See you at the meeting!

Janet
