Scituate
Light Newsletter The
Senior Dinner is always the social highlight of the spring season. In fact, if
the Rotary
Club waits too long to schedule the event, the seniors will call us and
ask us to speed up
the scheduling. And this week was another in the continued successes
of the Club. Everyone turned out
to help, and I mean EVERYONE. We
had, Walter Heller, President Bart, Roger Jacobs (and Nancy stuck her head in
the door for 2 minutes), Donn Sladen and Carol, Beatrice Hurwitz, Sue
Katz brought Ed Corbo, Judy Rego, Ben and
Renee Summers, Alden Mitchell, Janet the scholar
came in just under the wire. Jack Borror brought Linda, daughter Kirsten
and 3 teenage boys from family and
friends which gave us the numbers
to get the job done. . . . . And
Bill
Coulter. What would a Rotary event be without Wild Bill on the 88’s? He
brought out the inner child from
everyone as they sang along with his robust arrangements. He
is definitely a man with many skills and talents ( the only man that
could make us a
“singing club”). Thank
you to Walter
Heller for picking up the wine at an out-of-town store. Who knew
that $3 wine could taste so good. For those of us that are still
thirsty, see Walter to purchase any extra
bottles. Thanks to Sue K, Carol and Judy for the fresh flower arrangements. Paul
Mitchell was there 2 hours early and he was the hero of the night. All the seniors
look forward to seeing him, since he has been gone from the Next
week our speaker is Brian Noble. Enjoy this lovely weekend with our first
really warm weather in the 70’s. See
you at the Mill Wharf.
